The Gershwin Room is the beating heart of The Espy, added in the 1920s as a grand entertainment hall and quickly becoming a celebrated dance and jazz venue for Melbourne’s middle class. Over the decades it has continually evolved, shaping the city’s music culture from disco filled nights in the 70s to its iconic grunge era in the 90s, when it hosted hundreds of live recordings and up to 25 acts a week. Today, that same rich history and electric atmosphere create an unforgettable setting for events, with capacity for 60 to 100 guests seated or 150 to 350 standing.
